Academic design and technology decided together, before the programme opens

A programme is not only its syllabus. It is the learning outcomes, the materials, what the student sees week by week and what the administration has to do behind it. We design those four things at the same time.

The technology we deliver

Digital campus for your programme

A bespoke digital campus for one programme: the modules students follow, the assessment and progress the teaching team needs, and a completion record.

The result we work towards: a programme with its competence map, a production template every teaching team can follow, a student journey that has been walked through, and an administrative flow that somebody owns.

Three modules

01

Programme modules

The content structured as the instructional design defines it, in the languages the programme needs.

02

Assessment and progress

Activities and assessment with the progress of each participant visible to the teaching team.

03

Completion record

A record of who completed what, exportable for the administration of the programme.

First scope

One programme and one cohort. The campus runs for that cohort before the model is extended to the rest of the catalogue.

Acceptance criteria

  • Every learning outcome of the programme is linked to at least one activity and one assessment in the map.
  • A teaching team produces one module with the template without further explanation.
  • The student journey is walked from enrolment to certificate in the prototype, with the school present.
  • The administrative steps have a named owner in the institution.

Scope, price and calendar are agreed in writing before the pilot starts, based on the size of the programme and the systems involved.

What we need from you

  • The approved programme description, with its objectives and structure.
  • The academic person responsible for the programme, available for two working sessions.
  • Any existing materials, even in draft form.
  • Information about the virtual learning environment and the administrative systems in use.

Next step

Tell us the programme, the size of the first cohort and the launch date you are working towards. We reply with a scoped fit discussion.

Design my digital programme
The sequence, step by step
  1. 01

    Outcomes

What the student should be able to do

  2. 02

    Design

Activities and assessment aligned with those outcomes

  3. 03

    Production

Modules built with a shared template

  4. 04

    Delivery

Student journey and administration with named owners

If you continue: implementation

Implementation turns the prototype into the environment where the programme actually runs, and extends the template to the rest of the catalogue.

  • Configuration of the institution's virtual learning environment, or development where there is none.
  • Production of the remaining modules with the teaching teams.
  • Administrative flow: enrolment, records and certificates, with the roles agreed.
  • Training of teaching and administrative staff.
  • Review after the first cohort and the adjustments it suggests.
What already exists and what is built for you

Existing building blocks

Published digital courses produced with consortia, such as the Women Fitness Cycle and YouRef courses, and instructional design practice from Universitas.

Configuration and adaptation, subject to fit

Configuration of your virtual learning environment when one already exists, subject to a technical fit check.

Custom development

The structure of your programme, its assessment and its completion record are developed for this project.

Cost depends on the number of users, the integrations required, data migration, languages and support. The proposal confirms price and calendar before any work begins.

Example of application

Where artificial intelligence could help

These are custom developments we can propose, not features already deployed. In all of them a person reviews and approves before anything is used.

Drafting learning outcomes

Proposing outcomes and alignment tables from the approved programme description, which academic staff then correct and approve.

Reviewing course structure

Checking a produced module against the template and listing what is missing, for the teaching team to complete.

Preparing multilingual versions

First drafts of material in another working language, always revised by a person before publication.

Questions we are usually asked

Do you replace our learning platform?
Not by default. Where an institutional environment exists we configure it. We only build when there is nothing suitable, and we say so before starting.
Who writes the academic content?
The academic staff of the institution. We provide the structure, the template and the review, and Universitas can accompany the design as a consultancy service.
Is the prototype the final product?
No. It is a working model used to take decisions. What it becomes, and on which platform, is decided after the pilot.
Can it work in several languages?
Yes. Multilingual delivery is part of how we design, and it is scoped explicitly because it affects production effort.

Tell us which need your institution has

Write to us with the process involved, who leads it and the timeline. A specialist from Universitas reviews the case and replies with next steps.

Institutional channels

What to prepare

  • The process involved: accreditation, teaching, projects or institutional data.
  • Who leads it inside the institution and who has to review the result.
  • The systems already in use and the timeline or deadline you work with.

What happens next

  1. 1A scoped fit discussion: we look at the process, who owns it and whether a pilot makes sense.
  2. 2A written scope and quote, with the calendar, before any work starts.
  3. 3The pilot runs and is accepted against the criteria agreed in that document.

Prepare a short brief

The brief is prepared locally on this page. The button opens a draft in your own email application, ready for you to review and send. This page does not submit anything to our systems. Please do not include personal data.

Summary

Client type: Continuing education and postgraduate
Type of institution: Training provider
Need: Training and instructional design
Timeline: Within three months

This opens your email application with the draft already written. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself.

Copying does not send the message. You have to paste the summary into the channel you choose.
